June 29 2022, China Merchants Industry Haimen Base successfully delivered China's first "transport + lifting" integrated far-reaching offshore wind power construction ship, namely Wudongde to Three Gorges Materials Bidding Management Co., LTD.
Adhering to the "safe, high quality and quick" the idea, Haimen Base actively organized production resources during project construction, set up special technology research team, continue to improve and optimizing scheme during construction process. On another side, Haimen Base strengthened the supply chain localization of research, of which 69 key equipment was resourced locally, furthermore a localization rate of 86% was achieved. In addition, more than 97% of TA contracts were completed within 2 months. Despite the adverse factors such as high technical difficulty, long material ordering cycle, power rationing and production suspension due to multiple distribution of COVID-19, Haimen Base went all aforesaid out to deliver subject new ship with high quality one month ahead of schedule.
Delivery of Wudongde by China Merchants Industrial Haimen Base symbolized a new breakthroughs in new technologies and intelligent applications, and marked a leading position in China in terms of energy efficiency and public safety standards. The ship is fully powered by electricity, equipped with eight-point mooring positioning system and DP 2 system, certificated Non-restricted Waters. This ship is capable to be deployed to far-reaching sea where more abundant wind energy resourced. After delivery, she will be operated in the waters of Guangdong and Fujian. It will further improve the level of offshore wind power equipment and providing strong support for the large-scale development of wind power on far-reaching sea as well as to achieve the goal of carbon neutralization.
