On 23 May 2022, "Hai An" and "Hai Lian" towed the CCCC Ltd unmanned ocean-going tugboat "Guo Hai Min Yuan" at the border of South West Lamma island.Due to the epidemic, domestic crews were not allowed to enter Hong Kong with the ocean-going tugs. Yiu Lian Dockyard was commissioned by the agent to issue a letter to report to the VTC, and the tugboat department was responsible for the whole process, from picking up the tug, berthing at the pier, to leaving the pier and transferring to the domestic tug DE JI 9.

The working philosophy of the Yiu Lian Tugboat fleet is to "assist shipowners on all fronts, sense their urgency, and serve them in a safe and reasonable manner".
